What the score is made of
The score out of 100 is calculated from each entry's own data, so anyone can reproduce it from the row. It is built to answer one question: is submitting to this site worth your afternoon? A site can have a high domain authority (a third party estimate of how much ranking strength a site has) and still score badly here.
Strategic priority, the High, Medium or Skip label, is set by hand and can disagree with the score. When it does, the detail note explains why.
- Domain authority: up to 40 points, scaled from the site's DA
- Link type: up to 25 points. Dofollow 25, mixed 12, user generated 6, nofollow 4, sponsored 0
- Cost: up to 15 points. Free 15, free tier 9, paid 3, requires a link back 0
- Human review: 12 points if submissions wait for a person to approve them rather than going live instantly
- Traffic: up to 8 points, on a log scale so one giant site does not drown out everything else
What verified means
Verified means a person checked the entry on the date shown in the last column. The site was live, it was taking submissions, and the link type and price matched what the site actually does rather than what its marketing claims. If only the paid tier could be confirmed, the entry says so rather than assuming a free option still works.
How often we check
Every entry has its own last checked date, and every page shows the date of its last full sweep. We only put today's date on a page that was checked today. If a page goes more than 90 days without a sweep, the bar at the top turns amber automatically, so you can see at a glance that it is overdue.
How we make money
The site earns nothing today. When it does, the money will come from Google AdSense advertising, and there are no affiliate links in any table. If that ever changes, we will update this page before the change appears anywhere else.
- We never sell a dofollow link, and anything sponsored carries rel="sponsored".
- Every outbound listing link carries rel="nofollow", free listings included.
- Payment never changes a score. It can change where a row sits, and a sponsored row is always labelled as one.
- We do not take payment to remove a negative verdict.
- Nothing is added because someone asked for it. Entries are added because they passed the checks.
What gets an entry removed
An entry comes off when its listing pages tell Google not to index them (so they cannot appear in search results), when its submission form stays broken for two sweeps in a row, or when it demands a link back from your site that we would not advise anyone to give. Removals are published on the page the entry came off, with the reason and the date.
